The Samis Foundation is proud to support summer and academic term teen Israel experience programs. Grants from $2,500 to $7,500 are available depending on the type of program, and are distributed through the Israel program providers. Participants must apply through the program provider’s website. Alexander Muss High School in Israel (AMHSI) Impact Fellowship — one semester long residential high school program in Israel. The Samis Foundation funding, in partnership with a national funder, means the semester in Israel is free for Washington State teens. Tichon Ramah Yerushalim (TRY) – TRY is a semester of study at Tichon Ramah Yerushalayim, the Ramah Jerusalem High School, a fully accredited international secondary school program. TRY offers 2 and 4 month programs for 10th, 11th, and 12th graders to live and learn in the land of Israel. The Samis Foundation is offering up to ten $5,000-$7,500 grants for WA state teens. Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle Teen Israel Programs

 

 

 

CIE Teen Israel Leadership Institute – the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle sponsors an annual spring Israel education retreat at the University of Washington Hillel in partnership with the Atlanta-based  Center for Israel Education. Israel Grant Requirements

Recipients must meet the following requirements:

  • Resident of Washington state
  • A teen in 8th-12th grade
  • Participate in an Israel education pre-trip program. Samis will provide an opportunity in the spring for teens to meet their pre-trip education requirement
  • Participants are eligible to receive one Samis grant per year
