Samis Foundation 2022-23 Impact Report

Samis’ giving in 2022-23 reflects our commitment to making intensive, immersive Jewish education accessible to all. We are driven by the belief that every child should have the opportunity to access a Jewish day school education, experience Israel first-hand, attend Jewish overnight camp, and participate in Jewish youth programs. The new Day School Affordability Initiative and the Youth Enrichment and Engagement multi-year grant programs launched this past year are meeting the evolving needs of Jewish youth and families in Washington State. The Foundation’s philanthropy in Israel is a testament to our benefactor Sam Israel’s desire to ensure a thriving State of Israel. Samis’ funding priority for this year was poverty and social mobility. Samis awarded crucial grants in aggregate of $1.1 Million to support Israeli’s living on the socio-economic and geographic peripheries of Israeli society.
